Similarly, if we look around in our society, we find a large number of Muslims, especially men who are commonly seen as well that they don’t fast, for example, construction workers and laborers. There are many of them who don’t fast, even though they can if they want to. Similarly, a large number of bus conductors and drivers don’t fast.
Similarly, factory workers, etc. don’t fast. Keep in mind that the aforementioned means of livelihood are not an excuse to miss a fast. They are not allowed to skip fasting. The principle of Shariah is that, during the month of Ramadan, company owners should help their employees and subordinates in this regard and the order of Shariah for the owners is to mitigate their work during Ramadan. So, when they do follow the orders of Shariah and mitigate, it will be easier to fast for those who wish to do so. However, there are still a large number of people who, regardless of mitigation or severity, do not fast.
This is impermissible and a sinful act. My dear Islamic brothers and sisters who do not fast merely out of laziness, you should not be heedless in carrying out this obligation ordained by Almighty Allah which is also one of the pillars of Islam.
