Texas Gold Millipedes - Orthoporus ornatus

Orthoporus ornatus are millipedes native to the Southwestern United States in the states of Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona. They grow to be between 5-6 inches, but the ones shown in the video are about 4 1/2 inches long. They are not venomous, but can secrete a toxin through their skin when they feel threatened. They are deterivores, feeding primarily on decomposing plant matter.
