Directed by Joe Wright (“Pride & Prejudice,” “Atonement”), HANNA tells the fairy-tale adventure of a teenage girl (Saoirse Ronan) who goes out into the world for the first time – and has to battle for her life. Raised by her widowed father Erik (Eric Bana), an ex-CIA man, in the wilds of North Finland, Hanna is trained to hunt and in extreme self-defense to prepare her to her future role as an assassin. Forced into the real world, Hanna must prove herself against a ruthless intelligence operative Marissa Wiegler (Academy Award winner Cate Blanchett), who has long kept a dark secret about Hanna’s real relationship with her father. After she escapes from the CIA, Hanna travels from Morocco to Spain and finally to Berlin for a final showdown with Wiegler, and with the truth about where she comes from. Also starring, Tom Hollander, Olivia Williams, Jason Flemyng. With original music by The Chemical Brothers.
