Dreamy DIY Potting Shed Makeover

This video follows my process of turning a 100-year-old "KIT" Garage into a fully operation Garden House & Potting Shed for spring and summer gardening and plantings in 2021 and beyond. Last year in 2020 I reimagined the space as a summertime screened-in outdoor/indoor hangout spot and created the cottage style garden surrounding it, but since we have plenty of space to relax outside in other areas I thought it would be best to better our intention of thoughtfully using this space for a garden house and potting shed, plus a little space to be bug-free for relaxing and enjoying. Since there is a Cicada BroodX apocalypse happening imminently I thought it would be great to have this space completed for our general comfort and what wonderful way than being surrounded by tropical plants, blooming flowers, sculptural succulents, garden tools of delight... in an airy light white space with classic elements and cute details. By using old furniture and reclaimed decor this space's design truly feels retro but still light and airy and modern in a way. In terms of storage, I can't wait to reveal my secret built-in storage for the larger garden tools and garden machinery and the items I don't want to clutter the workspace with. I love simple garden and patio storage solutions.
Of course, as always, I used budget materials, reused plenty of everything I could, and kept this process as simple as possible within my capability of keeping things simple. I created the skylight from corrugated fiberglass panels and painted the space for days, but the result is exciting and I am totally ready to green thumb it up! Thanks for watching as always!
