Generation ROC: Teen Anti-Violence Alliance promotes peace, medical training

For this week’s Generation ROC, we meet 15 students dedicating their summer to stopping violence through medical know how. The Teen Anti-Violence Alliance—or “TAVA”—program pairs teens with medical professionals at URMC to get a head start on their interests in the medical field by teaching them life-saving techniques, shadowing various departments, and sharing insight on how to help themselves and their peers stay healthy in body and mind.
