HOW TO EASILY PROCESS SUNFLOWER HEADS! REMOVE EVERY SEED + DRYING + FINISHED SPOON TOMATO RAISINS!!

How to easily process sunflower heads.  How to dry and remove every seed easily.  If you have sunflower heads that have bloomed and are still on the plant, cut them off now or the birds will eat EVERY LAST SEED BEFORE you even think about harvesting!  This year the birds ate every single Short Stuff Sunflower seed I had.  Some of my sunflowers fell during the storms on the 4th and I had cut off a couple when I realized the birds had been on an eating rampage.  I bring my heads inside because they can be a draw for mice and other pests, I allow the heads to sit on cardboard on the floor in my living room for at least 2 days.  I then remove the layer of tiny flowers and return them to the cardboard for at least 1 week I then sort them by type and remove all the foliage.  I allow them to sit another couple of days, this allows the seeds to loosen and they easily fall from the head at this point.  I then store them in a dry place and allow them to completely dry.  Look for recipes and many other things that I will be making from my Sunflowers,  from seeds to oil stay tuned to As The Garden Turns for MORE! #processing #harvest #harvesting #sunflower #sunflowerseeds #sunflowergirl #sunflowers #learning #learningvideo #learningisfun #knowledge #knowledgevideo #knowledgeable #knowledgeispower #knowledgesharing #knowledgenuggets #education #educationalvideo #sharelikeandsubscribe #organicgardening #organicgardener #drying #dryout #cutoff #sunflowersarecool #multiuse #growathome #growyourownfood #fromseed #nextyear  #update #updates #spoontomatoes #tomatoes #tomatoes #tomatoraisins
