On 17th October 1912 Emmeline Pankhurst delivered this speech from the stage of the Royal Albert Hall. Pankhurst and her fellow suffragettes were frustrated by continued delays concerning and lack of government support for any Women's Suffrage bill. The rise in militant actions which followed this speech led to the Pankhursts and the WSPU being banned from using the Hall.
