Hong Kong's Carrie Lam speaks amid ongoing protests

Hong Kong's chief executive, Carrie Lam, held her weekly briefing as anti-government protests continue in the region.

Asked more than once why China would not let her resign, she denied she had ever tendered a resignation and said while it would "have been easy" to quit, she had told herself multiple times that her and her team needed to stay on to help Hong Kong through the protests.
