Professor David Orsmond, Professor of Economics at the Macquarie Business School has worked at the Reserve Bank of Australia, holding senior positions in the Financial Stability and Economic Analysis Departments. In the early years Prof. Orsmond held several roles at the International Monetary Fund, (IMF) including as Resident Representative in Ukraine, Mission Chief for the Solomon Islands, as well as working on economic stabilisation and technical assistance issues across many countries. He was an economist at the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet.
