AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles), AMRs (Autonomous Mobile Robots), and AGCs (Automated Guided Carts) are all types of automated vehicles used in industrial and warehouse settings, but they differ in their design, functionality, and operation.

While all three types of automated vehicles serve the purpose of material handling and transportation in industrial environments, they differ in terms of their navigation methods, flexibility, and adaptability to changing environments. AGVs follow predefined paths, AMRs navigate autonomously in dynamic environments, and AGCs are simpler, often manually loaded carts that may follow predefined paths or tracks. Tune in to this week’s episode of Mobile Robots’ Fast Facts to learn more.
