Iowa-Kalona and Pella

Iowa is my 42nd State ot visit. People think of the state as flat and boring. However there are hidden gems found in the Hawkeye State. We visit two of them. First, the town of Kalona, the "Quilt Capital" of the state and also home to several Amish settlements and businesses. Next, we spent a day at Pella, settled by Dutch immigrants in 1847 and is known as  “Little Holland.” It's home to the largest working grain windmill in the country and has a replica of a Dutch square named Molengracht, complete with a canal. They also hold their own tulip festival (which we didn't see since it happens in May).
