60532 “Blue Peter” returns on its inaugural run from London Kings Cross to York! | 13/07/24

I first saw 60532 at Harrow and Wealdstone where it came speeding through with a lovely whistle on an ECS move to Southall. I then caught up with the loco and saw it once again at Hanwell where it came through tender first and finally Southall! The following day I started off at West Ealing which was very busy due to the potential chance of a steam crossover with 46100 & 60532, however this didn’t happen. The service running late then enabled me to see the ECS twice at Finsbury Park before then overtaking 60532 and seeing it at Kings Cross where it looked amazing under the roof! Finally, I headed to Enfield Chase to catch the loco at the speed however this almost ended badly as a passenger service departed as soon as 60532 had passed! Great to see an A2 back on the mainline! Welcome back 60532 “Blue Peter”!
