5 kilos of processors - that's a real quantity 🙂️ instead of buying electronics per piece, 10 pounds of CPUs here 🙂️. Unfortunately, there wasn't much in the eBay description ... just "5kg processor scrap with shipping" ... that's a short and crisp description.
In the package were: AMD Opteron, AMD Athlon 64 X2, Intel Core i5, Intel Core i7, Intel Core2Duo, Intel Pentium, Intel Pentium III, AMD Athlon XP, Intel Celeron and many other CPU types.
This is of course a surprise bag - everything and nothing can be in it. “Scrap” already implies “defective”, but that cannot necessarily be said before testing. If you remove processors and CPUs, please remove the thermal paste immediately. Thermal paste pollutes the environment heavily and is difficult to remove.
Interesting that all the randomly tested Intel processors worked, even those where components were obviously broken 🤔️ Unfortunately, many legs of the AMD CPUs are bent, so that a lot of "bending work" is required beforehand.
