The iris of the eye and the dark hole in the center, known as the pupil, are located behind the anterior chamber. Iris muscles constrict or dilate the pupil to control the amount of light reaching the rear of the eye. The lens is located directly behind the pupil. Light is directed toward the retina by the lens. The lens changes shape to assist the eye in focusing on objects up close. The vitreous cavity is located between the lens and the retina. The cavity is filled with vitreous humor, a jelly-like tissue. Special cells known as photoreceptors are found in the retina. These cells convert light into energy, which is then sent to the brain. Rods and cones are the two types of photoreceptors. Rods detect black and white and allow for night vision. Cones enable central vision and color perception. #Shorts #animation #eyes #eyesight #anatomy
