Communicative teaching approach and English speaking skills. In this talk I will discuss a few of the ways in which teachers can help create a learning environment that is most conducive to aiding their students develop communicative competence and knowledge of pragmatics..I suggest that teachers not only consider teaching the words and grammar structures of the target language, but also focus on helping students develop Communication Skills, understand the Culture of the target language, and build Confidence in using the target language.
