Situation Briefing on the Effects of Super Typhoon Carina and the Enhanced Southwest Monsoon in Bataan, Pampanga and Bulacan Malolos, Bulacan July 27, 2024 Continuing the whole-of-government approach in addressing the impact of Super Typhoon Carina and the enhanced southwest monsoon (habagat) in Region III (Central Luzon), President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. convenes the local chief executives of the Provinces of Bulacan, Bataan and Pampanga for a situation briefing at the Provincial Capitol in the City of Malolos on July 27, 2024. The Chief Executive listens to situation reports and updates from the three (3) Provinces severely affected by Super Typhoon Carina and habagat, as the Administration relentlessly implements comprehensive relief and rehabilitation efforts to mitigate the effects of the recent weather disturbances. With extensive damages brought by the calamity to the lives of residents and various sectors in the Provinces, the Provincial Governments of Bulacan, Bataan and Pampanga have placed their respective areas under a State of Calamity to better address the situation and expedite the delivery of services to those affected.
