It's my favorite piece along
It's my favorite piece along with 10-4. Not only does it boast the highest level of difficulty among his etudes, but it is also the most effective Chopin masterpiece:)
The subtitle was not built by Chopin himself with "Winter Wind," but by the people of later generations, and the atmosphere and coldness of the subtitle are the key point. So it was a lot harder to express than any other Liszt, Alkan's pieces. I refer to a performance by Polini.
It is thought that most of the time it is possible to appreciate the details without a sense of camouflage:)
