Recommended reading if you want to learn more about Venture Capital:

Venture Deals - this book provides a brilliant summary of the VC deal process (including the term sheet) and will give you a great foundation to build on. I’d recommend this as a valuable intro to VC!

Secrets of Sand Hill Road - written by Scott Kupor, Managing Partner at Andreessen Horowitz, this book gives some key insights into how VC actually works and how leading VCs make investment decisions.

Wanting - a thought-provoking book about why people want what they want. Although not directly focused on VC, I found this book to be extremely valuable in understanding why certain startups are successful and why VCs invest the way they do.

Zero to One - a must read if you’re interested in venture and entrepreneurship. Peter Thiel (co-founder of PayPal, Palantir and Founders Fund, as well as the first outside investor in Facebook) shares insights on how to find value in the startup world and build a world-leading company.

The Lean Startup - perhaps the most popular book for entrepreneurs today, The Lean Startup provides a new approach to building a startup and in my opinion is a must-read for anyone interested in VC.

21 lessons for the 21st century - a thought-provoking book focused on the key challenges we must navigate as we explore the future. Includes powerful ideas that I think are helpful for anyone building a view on what the future might look like!

Negotiating Rationally - my favourite book on negotiation. I’d recommend this book as a useful tool for people wanting to learn how to more effectively negotiate in daily life, as well as for anyone finding themselves in VC deal negotiations.
