Early detection of worm infestation will save you a lot of money in the long run. This is because if a worm infection is not treated promptly, it can lead to serious health problems. The following are symptoms of worms in your puppy:
Your puppy is infected if you notice worms in his or her vomit or feces. Some parasites, however, may not be visible to the naked eye.
Bloating is another common symptom, especially in nursing puppies who have come into contact with their mother's worms.
If your puppy's growth is slowed or he loses weight, it's possible that he's infected with parasites. Worms impair your puppy's ability to absorb nutrients, causing them to lose weight.
Puppies are naturally curious and playful. Take them to the vet to be checked for worms if you notice they are weak and lethargic.
If your puppy is constantly hungry and eats more than usual, they may have a worm infestation.
Because some worm infestations are asymptomatic and do not show symptoms, you should deworm your puppy on a regular basis.
