Have a short time in Istanbul Turkey and don't know what to visit? Here's a quick guide to what to see in Taksim and its surroundings, in the Beyoglu neighborhood! Most of these places to visit and see are FREE and can be done easily in one day.
The famous Istiklal avenue is the heart of Istanbul that never sleeps, it is 1.4 km long and receives millions of tourists every year, here you can find many clothing stores, souvenirs, restaurants, bars, pastry shops, Turkish delight, cafes. Also here is the route of the famous little red tram. And also of course there is history! That is why it is among the most visited in Turkey
Not everything is in the old European area like Sultanahmet, here you will also find historical buildings ideal for curious tourists, such as ancient Greek Orthodox churches!
The best thing is that from Taksim Square there are Havaist buses that go to Istanbul Havalimani (Istanbul Airport) so it is one of the convenient options to stay in this area of Istanbul. The accommodation here is varied and you can find cheap accommodation and also not so cheap as in the cool area of Cihangir.
