I try not to stop to any unnecessary port to maximize Andrew hidden skill which will be activated after he learn 10 nautical chart. His hidden skill will give free 100 contribution to every port you visit and that's great to open land exploration permit and extra goods sold at every new port you visit. Try to find bounties with low reward so you can try to attack them in hand to hand combat since it can give you max loot to be sold and buy those pricey chart. For bigger ship you won't be able to kill all of their sailors and result in death. Better try to buy ship building +1 item in Beirut to unlock ship modification and put sharpnel cannon at front to reduce enemy sailor easily. For trading try to buy and sell cross region for better profit. For max profit buy from depressed port and sell those to booming port which is shining. Anyway this is a very fun game to play specially for those uncharted waters fans. To bad some uncharted waters game not translated in English.
