Mugabe intends firing Mnangagwa

Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe has announced that he intends to fire Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa after the first lady received a hostile welcome at a youth rally in Bulawayo. Mugabe says party members in Masvingo, which is Mnangagwa's stronghold, should prepare to form their own party. Grace Mugabe also launched an attack on Mnangagwa, saying he should be replaced by a woman.
