How Much to Charge for a Bathroom Vent Fan Installation

Don't short change 💰💰 yourself on an installation like this 👊
Bathroom exhaust fans can take up a lot of time dependent on whether its vented properly to the outside of your home

I often see it vented directly to attic 👎 That's a great way to create a moldy attic 😃

My best business advice: DON'T COMPARE YOURSELF TO OTHERS 👊

Evaluate what your specific business expenses are & needs to be profitable!

I would account for a half a day for installing a vent fan if needing to vent out of house. Gable ends are the most common places to go, but if its a roof vent I would increase the cost for liability reasons.
If somthing leaks.....its can be problematic & potential time consuming to fix the problem

It's 2024 (keep in mind prices keep going up 😃)
But here's what my labor only rate would be:

Vent fan install (new construction/gut bathroom) $270
Retrofit Install $400
Gable end venting $400
Roof venting  $800
Soffit vent $200

This is accounting for existing wiring already being run from a switch to vent fan location
If needing electrical connection, evaluation of electrical will be needed before quoting. This can vary widely on existing configuration & whether you are gutting the bathroom or trying to add to an existing space.
