Looking for expert guitar tuition? Meet Paul, our in house rock god!
Paul is Jamm’s in house rock god and all round guitar freak! If it’s a guitar or an amp or some strings or pick ups or machine heads or a killer riff…. Well we think you get the picture? Paul has been playing guitar for over 20 years and we like to call him obsessed! Paul has been on the UK music scene for 15 years and started gigging regularly on the Liverpool scene from age 15. Since then paul has been an active session player for international artists and bands, and has also produced music for TV, Film and Games! Paul graduated from the prestigious Berklee School of Music as an international student with an impressive 4.0 grade average! (erm, that’s “straight A’s” to us Brits) and on top of this was the first student ever to receive the Steve Vai scholarship after being hand picked by Mr. Vai himself to take a place on Steve’s first course at Berklee. And this is what guitar students at Jamm have access to! A guitar tutor who has training from the most prestigious music school in the world, and undoubtedly one of the world’s greatest guitarists!
Paul has worked and toured with Rob “Monkey Lord” Chapman (Dorje, Chapman Guitars) and Phil X (Bon Jovi, The Drills) as a trio of Youtube guitarists, and has completed tours of Australia and the UK, and last year released his first solo EP! He is also endorsed by Laney Amplification and Ibanez Guitars!
Guitar tuition at Jamm Studios works simply like this… Paul hopes to work with you in developing your playing in a “Guitarist for Guitarists way”, no ego, no big words and terminology that you don’t understand, and all lessons are tailored to a personal lesson plan that is developed with the student in mind!
Here’s what Paul has to say…”I teach the techniques and application tool kit so that the student can use it to develop their own personality on the instrument, it’s not about paying for lessons just to learn other peoples songs!, that’s what Youtube is for. We will cover all the vocabulary and the approaches the Masters have used so you as a player can become your own master!”
