4K Pt. 1 Kingscliff Village Walking & Whale Watching Tour & Australian Surf Lifesaving Competition

Join me for Part 1 of this stunning winter's day walking tour of the beautiful Tweed Valley Village of Kingscliff Beach. The day is splendid and the whales are splashing around offshore and the humans are also out splashing around in the surf for Day 1 of the Australian Surf Lifesaving Competition. Kingscliff is a very beautiful coastal village on the Tweed Coast of Northern New South Wales. In this walk we will make our way along the beach and the seaway wall beside the crystal clear blue waters of Cudgen Creek. From the end of the seaway wall we watch humpback whales splashing around are they are on their annual migration. After watching the whales for 5 minutes, we walk back along the side of Cudgen Creek where people are swimming, paddle boarding, and fishing and generally making the most of such a beautiful day. The walk continues along the Boardwalk section of the Coastline Cycleway, but then turn back and walk through the southern end of the village where all the stores and cafes are. From there, we cross back over towards the Surf Club and then make our way north towards the location of the Australian Surf Lifesaving Competition - which is very exciting with races happening between Clubs from all over Australia. This video finishes at the competition, but part 2 begins at the same location where we will see more of the action of the day. Part 2 also continues the virtual tour around the village and a visit to the base of an Osprey's Nest where there is a nesting family inside.
