The ordered 6 units Embraer A-29B Super Tucano close-air support aircraft for Philippine Air Force (PAF) are expected to begin their journey to the Philippines. The delivery will be a series of legs from Brazil to Philippines.

“If everything goes as planned, the flight of 6 Super Tucanos, and possibly escorted by a Dornier Do-228 support aircraft, will be flying out of Brazil later today, cross the Atlantic Ocean, and will be arriving in Cape Verde by tomorrow PH time,” MaxDefense Philippines said August 5.

“This would be the first leg of its flight to the Philippines, and the flight is expected to reach Clark Air Base in Pampanga by the late August 2020,” MaxDefense added.

In early July, Department of National Defense (DND) spokesperson Arsenio Andolong said the Super Tucanos are expected to delivered July 29.
