In the ancient city of Veridus, there once stood a grand cathedral led by Archbishop Malgor, a man once renowned for his piety and wisdom. However, the archbishop harbored a dark secret, an insatiable hunger for forbidden knowledge that led him to delve into the darkest corners of ancient texts. His pursuit of power led him to a hidden grimoire said to contain rituals that could grant eternal life. Consumed by ambition, Malgor performed the profane rites in the depths of the cathedral, invoking dark forces that promised him immortality but at a terrible cost.
As the ritual reached its climax, the dark forces twisted Malgor's body and soul, transforming him into a grotesque figure of pure evil. His skin became pale and withered, his eyes burned with an unholy red glow, and his once gentle features were distorted into a monstrous visage. The transformation shattered the cathedral's sanctity, and a curse spread through the city, causing it to decay and fall into ruin. Now, Malgor remains trapped within the cathedral's desecrated walls, his eternal life a curse rather than a blessing. He wanders the darkened halls, driven mad by centuries of isolation, and anyone who enters the cathedral is said to never return, their souls claimed by the tormented creature that was once Archbishop Malgor.
