Laotian cuisine or Lao cuisine is the food of Laos, duh. It differs from other Southeast Asian cuisines. The staple food in Laos is steamed sticky rice, and apparently the most famous Lao dish is larb, a spicy mixture of marinated meat or fish that is sometimes raw with a variable combination of herbs, greens, & spices. In this video, I try multiple versions of this dish. Another Lao creation is a spicy & sour green papaya salad known as tam mak hoong or som tam. OMG! Smells like raw sewage, but tastes amazing. My message is be open to all cuisines & surprise yourself by trying unique foods from around the world. Discovering new foods is extremely ________.(fill in the blank) Does anybody actually read this stuff? Get Some!
