Crusade 71 David Garrard Magic Performance

This year's 71st WHAS Crusade for Children telethon was June 1st and 2nd and raised $5,700,525.71 to help children with special needs throughout Kentucky and Indiana!!  The Saturday night Crusade Variety Show featured longtime favorite performers like our good friend Magician David Garrard and also focused on the amazing statewide talent that is putting Kentucky in the national spotlight on shows like America's Got Talent and American Idol.

Magician David Garrard has been performing for over 50 years and always amazes audiences throughout the United States.  He is a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians, Society of American Magicians, and The Louisville Magic Club. For more than 20 of those years, he has volunteered his magical talents to the annual WHAS Crusade for Children telethon.  Whether he's performing for the Variety Show or the Saturday overnight show in the studio, David gladly gives his time and talents to help raise money for children with special needs.  We are truly grateful for David's love for the Crusade and the kids.  

David  performed a very special trick this year to recognize and celebrate Terry Meiners' 25 years of hosting the WHAS Crusade for Children Variety Show at Old Forester's Paristown Hall on Saturday, June 1st, 2024.  David also joined the crew for the Saturday overnight show in historic Studio H at WHAS11 where he performed a couple of tricks there as well.
