Ask a Reporter with Christina House

House won the 2022 Pulitzer Prize in feature photography for her raw and deeply sensitive images of Mckenzie Trahan, homeless and trying to recast her life. Both House, who was pregnant at the time, and her subject would later become moms to a baby girl - and both bonded through the stark experience of weaving a story of family through the camera's eye.

House will share how empathy influences her street photography - and how to better capture moments when witnessing pain, joy and on occasion, people lost in life or lost in their thoughts.
