Mr. John Tutorial : Right Turn for a Semi

Turning right in a semi consists of moving forward into the intersection until the trailer tandems are approximately 10 feet from the start of the 'bend' of the turn- then start your turn watching in the convex mirror and making adjustments throughout the turn to maintain the tires distance to the curb approximately 1 foot until truck and trailer are aligned on the street turned onto- then the turn is complete. Most common mistakes among students is their being distracted by trying to shift gears mid-turn and getting on the throttle- to remedy this: keep both hands on the wheel to steer and maintain a constant speed until turn is complete, (I believe that those 2 issues are caused by a 'natural reaction' -learned from driving a car)
