Vocabulaire -- Vocabulary

quoique (équivalent de bien que) -- although, even though
Quoique fatigué, il continue. -- Although tired, he continues.
Quoiqu'il soit fatigué, il continue. -- Although he is tired, he continues.

quoi que (équivalent de quelque soit la chose que) -- whatever (equivalent to whatever the thing that)
Quoi qu'il fasse, c'est trop tard. -- Whatever he does, it is too late.
Quoi que vous disiez, elle viendra. -- Whatever you say, she will come.

Note that when followed by a verb, quoique and quoi que require the subjunctive (ex: 'soit', 'fasse', 'disiez').

vieux/vieille (adj.) -- old (for a man/woman)
vieillard/vieille femme (noun) -- old man/old woman
vieillesse (noun) -- old age
