I just purchased the Yamaha
I just purchased the Yamaha DXS18XLF so this is my initial thoughts. I only own one so far because they are sold out everywhere and I bought the last one I could find.
Audio wise this sub is amazing and I have no complaints. It is loud, it hits low and it sounds great.
Design wise there are a few things I don't like about it...Mostly the grill design and that it has fabric over the metal grill. Not sure how this will hold up outdoors.
Bottom line: I like this sub a lot and I plan on selling all of our subwoofer inventory to get more of these and some of the 15" as well.
