Lucy Letby has reportedly said she does not want to be present at her sentencing hearing.
The former neonatal nurse, who has been convicted of murdering seven babies and causing harm to several other vulnerable newborns, was in the courtroom on August 8 when the jury returned its first two guilty verdicts of attempted murder, and then again on August 11 when she was convicted of four murders and another two attempted murders.
Petrie Hosken is joined by criminal defence barrister Andrew Taylor to debate the reasons why it is not mandatory for her to be in court for her sentencing.
