Katelyn Tuohy took a decisive
Katelyn Tuohy took a decisive win at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational on October 13. Her 19:44.3 6km time helped lead her NC State Wolfpack team to the team title despite a tied score with New Mexico at 80 points.
Teammate Kelsey Chmiel took 2nd in 19:49.4 while Elise Stern's from Northern Arizona took 3rd in 19:57.5.
According to NCAA XC tie-breaking rules, unlike with HS where it goes to the 6th runner on each team, head to head matchups are used to determine the winner. NC State broke the tie against New Mexico 3-2 on where the team's 1-5 runners placed against the other team's 1-5.
