You do not need any additional software to do this, but if you want more control over the zipping, such as compression ration, I would reccomend 7-zip, which you can download from www.ninite.com.
I would reccomend zipping the files in a folder, rather than the folder that contains the files, because when the folder is unzipped, people usually leave the settings as default which creates a folder with the same name as the zipped folder that has all the stuff inside it that was in the zipped folder. If you zip a folder instead of the stuff inside it, when it is unzipped, it will have a folder inside it and then all the stuff. Just something to think about.
