It seems to be a confusing topic to many home engine builders, in which you’ll get many different opinions and suggestions.

In this video I offer a simple solution for checking hydraulic lifter preload when using stock stamped steel Mopar Rocker arms. Be sure and use the lifter manufacturer’s recommended preload amount.
