2016 Kia Soul Lower engine knock spun rod bearing

Customer complaint was check engine light on and engine noise. I heard a lower engine knock. Inspecting the bottom of the oil pan it has bearing material in it. Pick up screen also has bearing material in it indicating the pump was working. Found #3 rod bearing is spun with damage to the crankshaft. Check with your dealer for recalls and or warranty extensions. Recommending replacing the engine due to metal circulation through the engine.
