Bauer 23 Ft. Auto-Feed Handheld Electric Drain Cleaner Review REVIEWED

Hi guys my names Chris I am a second generation plumber in southern California, Ive been plumbing and around plumbing all my life, I actually enjoy what I do and I wanted to create this channel to bring you guys authentic reviews and the best Do it yourself information possible by a professional in the field with plenty of experience in all types of different plumbing situations and with all different types of plumbing tools parts and brands.
In this video I am reviewing the 23 foot electric auto feed drain cleaner by Bauer this drain cleaner uses a 1/4" cable and has a really cool auto feed feature built into the front handle, At first look when I came upon this thing on the shelves of Harbor Freight in my Home town I was automatically intrigued by how cool the design looked and the color scheme was equally as impressive. The price point was excellent at $130 before using my %25 off coupon I had seen I had a couple small drain clogs on my work orders for the day and as my other 1/4" top snake had just recently been stolen I was actually in need Of a new top snake so I figured Id give this baby a try and well if it didnt work out then whatever id use it til it broke down and by then it would of atleast had paid for itself.
So I dont snake many drains anymore thankfully that was something we kindof negotiated when I signed on with my current employer but when I do go to snake a drain I want to feel confident that Ive got the proper equiptment to get that drain clear because the last thing I want is to sit and waste my time trying to clear a drain that I cant clear because either the machine isnt capable of clearing it or the cable is bad or there could be a number of other reasons. After using this thing for a few weeks now I have to say I love it and I not only feel confident when I go into a small drain clog call but Ive found myself trying to find reasons to use it. I just feel so cool It reminds me of some futuristic weapon and as I show in this video it is able to even get the toughest clogs. I may wind up throwing a different cable on it with a different style drop head but I wont do that until I actually have to take this thing apart which I havent yet.
The Autofeed feature on this snake is amazing its probably the fastest autofeeder ive ever used which I typically dont use Autofeeders but I was using the Rigid 1/4" snake that has the clear shield and the air bulb I thought that design was really cool because one problem I always found with the drill style top snakes was in certain situations like under certain lav sinks its really hard to hand feed the cable while holding the heavy drill with the dumb on it and I thought that cool rigid design would be better and for a while it was but the machine itself just didnt hold up I was constantly changing the cables constantly having to pull it apart it was extremely annoying and it had an extremely short cord so i had to basically keep an extension cord dedicated to that machine and I havent had to deal with that yet with the Bauer the cord is long and feels like its built to industry standard its similar to the original GFI cord I got with my $1500 Spartan machine so Im extremely happy about that and again Im just all around impressed as you can see in this video this thing makes clearing drains even tough drain clogs a breeze I thought I was gonna have to pull up my 1/2" Cable Spartan Machine and start cutting traps off but thankfully the good ol Bauer did the trick.
After clearing a drain you always want to run hot water if you can, run the hot water while you are snaking the drain if you can it certainly will help you.
