Patellar Tendon Graft

Dr. Walt Lowe demonstrates how to harvest a patellar tendon graft from a cadaver for patellar tendon ACL reconstruction, also known as an allograft.

UTHealth medical students look on in the gross anatomy lab as Dr. Lowe cuts the tendon and the bone plugs and then removes the patellar tendon graft. Dr. Lowe is the Chairman of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at UTHealth Medical School.

This method is for teaching purposes only and is not used in clinical practice for harvesting the graft.
