Fukuoka visited again after 16 years.
I decided to go to Tenmangu, Dazahui, where I went on my last package trip.
It's a short schedule of two nights and three days, so I was chased a lot due to time to travel a longer distance than Dazaifu.
So, we didn't do the daily tour of the bus, Dazaifu - Yufuin - and Betbu.

Dazaifu Tenmangu is a shrine dedicated to Michizane Sugawara, also known as the god of scholarship and culture and art or Tenjin.
There are many shops and restaurants on the way from Dazaifu Station to Dazaifu Tenmangu.
Small cafes and stores are selling sweet Umegaemochi filled with red bean paste at a popularity. Umegaemochi features the symbol of Dazaifu Tenmangu and the plum blossom pattern that Michizane Sugawano loved.
Among the traditional stores, Starbucks, which has a modern look like a tree nest built by architect Kuma Kengo, attracts attention.

Dazaifu Tenmangu is said to be visited by many people who wish to study and pass the exam.
Maybe because it's not the college exam season, there were no people who looked like test takers.

I don't know why it feels smaller than before, but it feels smaller than 16 years ago.
Perhaps because I visited in the morning, there were fewer people than expected, so there was no big difficulty in viewing the shrine.

However, the Tenmangu main hall is currently under repair, so you can see the temporarily installed main hall if you visit.
It was a refreshing experience to plant trees on the temporary main hall to give a different feeling.

Swallow flying on the shopping street to Tenmangu. I saw it a lot in the past, but I can't see it these days, so I met him in Dazaifu. 😅
