Tauranga city centre tour is here! We finally filmed a travel vlog about our city of residence and so happy to share it with you! Let's do a virtual walk around the city centre of Tauranga and see what you can do there.
Tauranga is the fifth largest city in New Zealand, it has the largest port in the country and it's also one of the most popular summer tourist destinations. Most people come to Tauranga to visit Mount Maunganui, walk up the Mount and spend time on the famous beach. But there are more things to do in Tauranga. For example, explore the city centre which is very beautiful and in our opinion very underrated.
City centre tour highlights include the Strand, Waterfront, Tidal Steps, The Old Tauranga Post Office, Our Place, Tauranga Art Gallery, Wharf Street, Robbins Park, Matapihi Railwaybridge and other points of interest. There are lots of photo opportunities like rose garden or Matapihi Footbridge Lookout, countless great cafes and numerous activities to try. Several harbour cruises also start from Tauranga Waterfront.
