In this video Heimler takes you through Unit 3 Topic 9 of the AP U.S. History curriculum which is set in period 3 (1754-1800).
The Constitution of the United States was conceived at the Constitutional Convention as a governing document to replace the Articles of Confederation.
The Constitution consolidated more power in the hands of the federal government than did the Articles, and it was generally agreed that this was a good thing.
Two major features of the Constitution we explore in this video are federalism and the separation of powers between the legislative, executive, and judicial branches.
