Tracking the tropics: Disturbance moving through Gulf of Mexico, could become tropical depression

The National Hurricane Center is monitoring a large area of low pressure in the northwestern Caribbean Sea and eastern Gulf of Mexico that could become a tropical depression. It may impact Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula, western Cuba, and Florida. Here is a look at the NHC's forecast models of Disturbance 1, Tropical Storm Franklin, and the remnants of Emily.
