The National Hurricane Center is monitoring a large area of low pressure in the northwestern Caribbean Sea and eastern Gulf of Mexico that could become a tropical depression.
It may impact Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula, western Cuba, and Florida. Here is a look at the NHC's forecast models of Disturbance 1, Tropical Storm Franklin, and the remnants of Emily.
Idalia and Jose are the next two storm names on the Atlantic cyclone names list.
