Her Royal Highness the Princess of Asturias and Girona in her words wanted to highlight that
" Highnesses, authorities, patrons, friends, and colleagues. I extend a special greeting to our awardees and the thousands of young people who have participated in the activities developed by the Foundation this year. Good evening and welcome.

Being in Girona brings me joy and turns this award ceremony into a very special moment for me. Yesterday, my sister Sofia and I had the privilege of getting to know the model of innovation and creativity of the BulliFoundation—and its museum—led by Ferran Adrià, in the impressive Cala Montjoi, right in the heart of the Cap de Creus Natural Park. I am also delighted to have visited the headquarters of the Foundation in the city of Girona, along with my sister.

Tonight, we gather here due to the talent of our five awardees and their commitment to society and the challenges it faces. The five of them are undisputed role models who have seized opportunities to give their trajectory a clear purpose with social impact. I have spoken with them and other young people about the concerns of our generation, about what it means to educate oneself, about how to find and develop one's own talent, about preparing oneself with new skills through innovative educational models, about the awareness of living in a balanced way on our planet, about life projects when you are twenty or twenty-five years old.

In my case, I am almost eighteen. I have just finished high school and I am about to embark on a new stage with a military training period. Beyond my responsibility, I am content because I know how much the Spanish people value our Armed Forces. It is an important moment in my life, and I feel eager and convinced to continue learning and dedicating my best efforts to strengthen the values with which I have grown up and which our five awardees embody today: respect for others, effort, excellence, pursuit of knowledge, composure, discipline, perseverance. Also, the ability to perceive reality and live with the enthusiasm inherent to my age.

That is what I can see in Sabrine: her determination to successfully build Kenya's largest network for early childcare is truly inspiring.

And these are values that Marc also embodies when he proudly recounts his beginnings in the land of Girona, now being a professor at Yale University and a reference in the research of a major public health issue: obesity.

I am still surprised and impressed by Rafel's bravery in venturing into manufacturing satellites that collect valuable information to tackle challenges such as climate change. And Silvia, who has the ability to heal emotions and alleviate pain when a chronic and advanced illness robs us of any illusion.

And with Maria's story, and her extraordinary talent with the violin, I feel that effort is always behind excellence.

You will tell me if it isn't thrilling to share a night together where we are witnessing that several generations of young people have already taken action and offer us the best of themselves. Thank you, Silvia, Rafel, Maria, Sabrine, and Marc, for showing us the way. Thanks to the young people who trust the Princess of Girona Foundation to continue growing, thanks to the many companies and organizations that support us. Thank you for allowing me to learn from all of you. And thank you for inspiring us from Girona to so many young people of my generation who aim to live in a society that is more committed to others. Thank you very much".
