Grad school and Undergrad definitely have their differences, one of them being the ways in which you are involved within the school community. While you might hold a more professional relationship with your school and interact closely with your department, you may find that you're not as involved with school activities and you may notice that the way you interact with your school environment changes!
____________
Karsen Gromm attended Columbia College Chicago for his undergrad in 2D animation with a fiction writing minor and is currently attending University of Northern Colorado for graduate school, studying English with a concentration in theology and theater for their thesis on the musical Godspell. While in undergrad, Karsen was involved in Poetry Club, the LGBTQ+ Student Club, and a creative writing study abroad J-Term in Paris. He took a 2 year break to work long-term at a mountain camp and then worked at an independent children’s bookstore before deciding to go back to school for his English degree. In grad school, Karsen did previous student work at the campus Disability Resource Center. Currently, Karsen works as a Graduate Assistant and Teaching Assistant for University of Northern Colorado English Department. He teaches Intro to College Composition and College Research Paper. Karsen was able to graduate from his 4-year undergrad program in 3 years due to AP classes, dual credit enrollment in high school, and taking a course overload for two years in college. Karsen’s higher education journey included going from High School to 4-Year Institution.
