In this video we are exploring the heritage village Kalpathy. A travelogue through the temples and streets of Kalpathy. Kalpathy is famous for Agraharams. The Kalpathy Agraharam in Palakkad is one such place situated on the banks of River Kalpathy. The settlers here mainly belong to the Brahmin community, who fled from Thanjavur in Tamil Nadu. It is said that the Raja of Palakkad provided them with a settlement at Kalpathy.
On the way to Kalpathy we got a chance to visit one of the oldest institution of Kerala, Victoria College Palakkad. It holds a rich educational heritage in the history of malabar region. The Govt Victoria College, Palakkad, which got established in the year 1888 is one of the four heritage educational institutions and centre of excellence in the educational sector of Kerala.
After visiting Victoria College and Kalpathy Village we went to some not so explored places in Malampuzha.
