...quick video going over a Bluetooth speaker I whipped together with some Tang Band components. The speaker consists of two Tang Band neodymium W2-880's, along with the W2 Subwoofer - all paired with a TDA3110D2 Bluetooth amplifier module.
The new Tang Band speaker is a whole order of magnitude better than the Bose speaker (buy also slightly larger and surely not as aesthetically pleasing). You really notice a difference standing about 10-12 feet away. The Bose sounds like a single, small speaker - while the soundstage of the Tang Band speaker feels much larger while also sounding very crisp, and audibly much much louder.
The enclosure is little more than a cigar box covered with skateboard grip tape. No effort was made to isolate different areas of the enclosure for any of the drivers. It is literally a box with speakers. A next project may be to improve upon this design - utilizing a properly encloses volume for each driver while utilizing a passive reflector in addition to the subwoofer.
