Welcome to our cooking channel! Today, we’re making delicious and crispy Aloo Pakora (Potato Fritters), a perfect snack for tea time or any occasion. Follow along with this simple recipe to create these golden, flavorful bites.

Ingredients:

2 large potatoes, thinly sliced
1 cup gram flour (besan)
1 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp carom seeds (ajwain)
1/2 tsp baking soda
Salt to taste
Water as needed
Oil for frying
Instructions:

Prepare the Batter:

In a large bowl, mix gram flour, red chili powder, turmeric powder, carom seeds, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually add water to the mixture, stirring constantly, until you achieve a smooth, thick batter.

Slice the Potatoes:
Thinly slice the potatoes and soak them in water to prevent browning.
Coat the Potatoes:

Drain the potato slices and pat them dry.
Dip each slice into the batter, ensuring it’s fully coated.

Heat the Oil:
In a deep frying pan, heat oil on medium-high heat until it’s hot but not smoking.
Fry the Pakoras:

Carefully drop the batter-coated potato slices into the hot oil.
Fry until golden brown and crispy on both sides, turning occasionally.
Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

Serve:
Serve hot with your favorite chutney or sauce.
