He says, "Association with cinema for the last 50 years I have been not only lucky to be part of his family I have also been privileged to see Rishi Da been guiding youngsters like me. Rishi Da used to come and watch my plays during my theatre days then came the association in films. The stage of my career when I was to direct my first film I met Rishi Da and talk to him about that. Particularly the regional cinema, low budget cinema has had a tremendous backing from Rishi Da when he was the chairman."
